Thoughts on trade

Greetings everyone,
First post here and curious as to the opinions of other watch enthusiasts.

Trade a Pepsi and Batgirl both on jubilee (might have to add a few bucks to the transaction) for OF Dayton 116518LN. Deal or No deal?

Best,
WolverineMD

I would not. I'd let go of one of them (BLNR) and add cash if you want the OF.

This.

I wouldn't trade both of those GMT's towards one PM Daytona. YMMV

I would self off one and add cash, instead of trading both for one.

Deal !!!

Full disclosure, I don’t like GMTs … I don’t know why, I know it’s one of the most popular Rolex watches made, and I’m trying hard to like them / buy one, but I’m just not there yet (I’m a Submariner, Daytona guy) … but I LOVE a PM Daytona 116518.

I'm generally against trading two for one and I'm not a Daytona fan, so I wouldn't do it.

No deal. Gmts are nicer than a Daytona. Maybe 1 gmt and cash if you really want it

I think the Daytona is unattractive while the Pepsi and Batgirl are much nicer, so I wouldn't do it.

Same here and not a fan of today's silly nicknames for Rolex watches.

Either of those watches you have go for mid-to-high $20s on secondary market; why not go to an AD and offer to trade one plus small amount of cash for desired Daytona, which rings in at just about 30 MSRP.

Some Daytona haters in here LOL.

Keep the GMT you like the most and get the Daytona plus cash for the other.

I agree with this, but even then, it would be a tough call.

Trade the one GMT you least prefer and add cash! That Daytona is a great piece!

I would only trade one. I have both GMT’s and a WG OF Daytona and I think you will regret getting rid of both GMT’s.

Fairly even trade with some cash to match MSRP.
I've had one in hand and it is VERY different than the two GMTs.

Nope, and here's why:

"Two for ones" usually end up leaving an empty feeling down the road.

More my opinion, but I've owned 8 Daytona's now (over a 25 year period), in varying vintages, colors, metals. I always end up getting bored with them and flip them........each time only making a small amount, as in before the massive explosion of secondary pricing for the pieces began in about 2018. Therefore, my opinion on solely based on my impression of the watch and not the hype, future value, etc.

You have two very nice watches that over a lot of basses. My recommendation is save for the Daytona and seek through AD and you never know what might happen. Good luck!

Nope

PMs are dropping and you have two of the NICEST GMTS. As someone else said, 2-for1 is usually a bad trade
