Icon8 First rolex after the honey moon

Got the new polar ex 2 in 9/22 after 2 days of wait hah
And its quit of boring imo , i find this watch a little bit anemic maybe if it was on the dj2 oyster or jubli it was little more alive and i think the 42 mm was worng move to this specific model 40 just fit more and maybe a half orange half gray ceramic bazel , its like a 7/10 score watch for me and its make me want to trade it on tt root beer or a tt blue sub
what is your op to ex2 model ?

Nice to see all of the watch lover - not flipin beast mode

Explorer 2 polar dial is probably my 2nd favorite. I like my watches nice and simple. Not a fan of overly busy dials. I feel the same about Daytonas as you do about the Explorer 2. Had a WG Daytona I got from my AD and ended up selling it.

That is my favorite model in the current line up. But more of a rugged versus showy watch.

Worst case you could flip and try something else. Do they have any exhibition models you can try on?

What anyone thinks here is irrelevant if it does not sing to you personally.

Definitely the worst watch in the current lineup and no one should even consider buying it. Total garbage.

I do like it but for my skinny wrist, it falls outside my wrist bone :(.It's not the dial but the large lug to lug and the 'flat' case that makes it sit pretty large.

I really wish Rolex had stuck to the 40mm case in the last gen. That being said, Exp2 is strictly a TOOL watch..there's nothing blingy about it so I do get it that may be not everyon'es cuppa tea.

My sentiments exactly on this. It’s just too bland. Bought mine in April and never worn.

Welcome to the forum, OP. I understand your points and it seems like an expensive lesson you've learned. 10K is vehicle ballpark money and for the majority of
people, isn't a sum spent on impulse. Fortunately, the current situation is (still) somewhat forgiving so you won't take an enormous hit selling it on.
While I like the aesthetics of the current Exp II it is a bit oversized imho at 42mm, somewhat of a deal breaker for me.

I agree the explorer 2 is quit a boring watch, the hour markers and the orange hand also make it looks toylish. I suggest you replacing it with the new air king, a much better looking watch in similar price range.

Buyer’s remorse is common. If it’s serious, sell and buy something else. Simple.

I just picked up a Polar Dial Explorer 2 and GMT Pepsi from my AD this week. My daily (and first Rolex) has been the DeepSea, so I will be wearing the Explorer 2 as the new daily. I have a larger wrist (7.5") and I really like that the bracelet on the Explorer is the same as the DeepSea. Until the service center has links available, I am borrowing two links from it.

I agree that the Explorer is much more subtle than other models, but it has been an absolute joy to wear and that is what was important to me right now.

The Explorer II Polar was my first Rolex and remains one of my favourites. It sounds like yours was a mistake. It should not be hard to move on.

Out of curiosity, why would you need an extra 2 links with a 7,5" wrist?

I think it's generally an underrated watch, actually, so I can't concur; however, welcome to the forum.

You know, I find the word 'boring' interesting. It's a watch. It doesn't have to be the center of attention. Its job is to let you know what time it is, and the really good ones do that, leaving you with a small rush of appreciation as you return to whatever life was demanding from you when you looked down at your wrist.

But, hey, that's me. We're all different. You may want to look at flashier brands/models.
