nothing really new to add to this post ...

Just a picture.

He sent me this yesterday.

This is 4cm by 4cm and 5mm tantalum. it weights 135 grams

This is how the raw material arrives, some of these slices of Tantalum will eventually become my watch.
Very curious to discover how this will evolve :-)

Not the best pictures but definitely worth seeing them.

Reima just made these thicker than normal bridges, doing so he can do better anglage.

As you can see the bevelling looks great and the sharp inward angles amazing.
Then putting Geneva Stripes on the bridge

Next step is making the holes bigger so the jewels will fit, hand engraving some text like 'Handmade in Finland'.

And finally pt some white gold or platinum plating on it

When I receive the watch I promise to take some good macro shots :-)

Unfortunately All I have for the moment are these pics. Low quality and they're small. Look a bit OK on a smartphone but terrible on an iMac :-)

Thanks for the pictures!

The beveling and interior angles look amazing especially consider the price. I picked platinum plating as I have not noticed any other watch brands offering this choice.

Now just have to be patient and wait for this to come in.

We should also remind him to update his IG so we can keep the excitement going.

btw, the case you see in the background is NOT for this watch.
Mine (or ours cause eI know a few guys that ordered one) looks much better and is more complicated ( still round but made of 3 parts and different lugs)
Again, I have a picture but the pic of the cat eis terrible LOL so I prefer to make my own pics before I post them ;-)

Congratulations! I am waiting for my dial design as I have switched to enamel. Need to be patient

It looks like it will be a long wait

Got the enamel design and the price. The cost is really reasonable and now the wait begins.

Will keep you all posted.

I don’t know if his too busy or sometimes lazy 😁😁
But I confess sometimes it takes too long before he answers… I had the same feeling a few times
On the other hand sometimes he is very fast

If you want to, I can WhatsApp him, do I give it a try? Your name in “Angelo”?
You tried to reach him via Instagram or email?

Btw, mine is as good as finished and I should get in within a couple of days
He told me he would send me pics and if it’s ok for me he would ship it
Pics cause last minute I changed something with the seconds sundial at 6 o’clock
And I wanted the lugs a bit more polished

But I’m waiting for the pics …. Which he would have send yesterday…. But I did not see them yet 🥴

Understandable he’s busy and might have missed some message

Thanks and looking forward on your piece!

He is indeed a little slow.

I even have to remind him to send me an invoice a few times and finally got it so I can pay him. On IG, if he is on a roll, he would chat for a little while and disappears for weeks. Try to email and DM him, I think eventually he will reply. He did mention that he has too many orders now that he "should" close his order book but at the same time he is bad at saying no. I suggested him to post more pictures of my watch in progress on IG so he can get more clients. He told me every time he posted something, he ended up with a flood of order so he is reluctant to do it now.

I guess we all just need to be patient since AFAIK, he is a one man operation.

Try IG DM or email him again.

I have a feeling that his email is not always working. There were a couple of times he said he emailed something to me but they never showed up. So he ended up using IG DM. Including the last invoice for my dial change to enamel, he tried a couple of email addresses I provided to him but none of the emails came through.

I tried submitting a form on his website again which indicates my whatsapp and instagram accounts and saying i can’t reply to him via email…

I’ll nudge him on instagram on tuesday if this doesnt work since it’s a sunday and all

Cheers

Zirconium is available? It is an interesting choice. Wonder if he can do palladium. palladium spot price is at multi year low so it may be good value. I always prefer Pd over Pt.
