Which?

So the 3 big Rolexes I’m looking to get are the Daytona, subLV, and BLNR. I’ve got the chance to pick up a 116500LN daytona only or a 126610LV and 116710BLNR together. As all 3 are on my radar, think I’m better off tackling the Daytona now and waiting to see if my AD comes through with my limited spend history? Or get the sub and gmt now and worry about a daytona later? I have no real preference on what I want first as all 3 of them tug at me the same. My current collection is a sub no date and Tudor Pepsi.

You must have a pretty good relationship. You literally could flip a coin.

If you already have a Tudor GMT and a Sub then I'd go for the Daytona.

If you moved the other two could you get the Daytona and the BLNR?

Which?

Get the first accessible model you can. Daytona can take years for many, but take the Daytona first if you can. Since you have a good relationship then you shouldn’t have a problem acquiring the others later.

Are you getting offered these watches now from an AD or buying grey?

Sounds like grey as you are unlikely to get offered both GMT and sub at same time from AD.

The Daytona is the hardest to get from an AD but if you like all 3 equally there's no wrong choice.

The Daytona is the one in this scenario. Hard to acquire and price fluctuation can be significant. You can circle back around for the others that you already have covered in your collection.

I have both the BLNR and SubLV and think it might be one of the best combos you can get. That being said, I am still waiting for the Daytona. If you can get the Daytona get that now as the BLNR and LV would be easier for you to acquire after.

Get whichever one(s) you can first, it seems you don’t have a strong preference

Whichever gets you the most clout with your friends.

In all seriousness, the Daytona may never come up again (if we are talking retail), but I prefer the other 2 over the daytona.

Well the Daytona would be obvious to me it has the highest premium on the secondary market you could buy the Daytona and then buy the other two grey.

Might have phrased it wrong. All these are from grey. I’m on the list for the LV and BLNR from my AD. Basically I have the funds to comfortably get either the Daytona or the LV/BLNR combo. Just wondering which choice would be the easier to acquire later. I’m kind of thinking the Daytona is the one that has a much higher top price jump than the LV/BLNR.

If going grey then i’d go with what your purpose is. If you actually like the pieces, then go with the one/s YOU like (obviously). If part of your purpose is to get attention from non watch ppl, go with the lv/blnr. More ppl will notice that due to colored bezel over the daytona. And you can switch it up so others can see that you have not just one but two rollies.

Buy the daytona. I have over $100k spend at multiple dealers. I have never been presented with a stainless daytona in the 4 years I’ve requested even though they offered to put me on list.

But I can skip the walk-in line to get a blnr or sub lv within the year pretty easily.

If you are not buying precious metal datejusts, day dates, and diamonds, i wouldn’t count on ever getting a stainless daytona from the dealer. We read online that it happens but count on not getting it. Also BLNR and sub LV, cannot count on getting it if you haven’t spent on some other items. Yes you can get them as early watches based on what you read on line. But can’t count on it.

If one really doesn’t care for the rest of the Rolex catalog, other brands in the store, diamonds, grey is often cheaper in my experience. Esp for anyone who is in a profession with clear hourly billables. Time is more important for a lawyer, doctor, consultant who can bill $500, 1000 per hour. But people like me have “principles” and buy only from AD. LOL sometimes i feel we are the dumb ones.

Be careful and choose Panda Daytona it's the hardest one to get. You may not get another chance.

Dayton offered with no history is unheard of? What kind of wizardry is this?

More details. AD or grey?

Grey. I didn't even try at the AD for a Daytona. So it sounds like go with the Daytona now while they are lower priced and just wait for the AD to call me for the BLNR and LV.

Which?

Edit: never mind, you’re talking grey.

Not sure then, depends on pricing and condition.

I think I’d still rather own the Daytona though. Maybe.

In that case skip the Daytona. All are hyped these days but Daytona is the most hyped of all.

The biggest 'problem' is that's it's small, a mere 38.xmm in real life. It would be the last on my list for that reason. Also not as legible compared to the others. You aren't going to be using it for lap times either

Wait on the AD. Daytonas are trading 15k+ over retail.
