Things to see in and around Germany, Rolex related or not

Hey gang,
I'll be in Karlsruhe, Germany for the next few months, and need some suggestions to things to see. Haven't had time to check out the local ADs, but that is something I'll do soon.

I was hoping for a factory tour of Rolex, but it looks like sure privileges are not available to the "unwashed masses" . Are any other swiss watchmakers a bit more open to enthusiasts?

I am trying to avoid the typical tourist spots and trying to get to more interesting and engaging sites.

Thanks, Dave

You can check out the SINN factory in Frankfurt. They have a cool museum there also.
