Which one would you choose?
I am buying my first Rolex in a few weeks. I was going to get the White Faced Milgauss but after I saw the new GMT-II with the new bezel I'm torn between the two.
If you could only choose between the two which would you get? And why? |

GMT because the whole "power plant worker" persona isn't as cool as a Pam Am pilot or Magnum PI.

If it was up to me, I'd pick the white Milgauss because it offers something different - it doesn't have the standard Rolex look of rotatable bezel and Cyclops date, it has a nice retro 1950s appearance and the watch is not commonly seen in the wild. Finally, it's cheaper (in Singapore, the difference is roughly US$1,000).
However, since it's your first Rolex, it might make sense to go with the more practical GMT2c, which has a date, new ceramic (scratchproof) bezel and second/third time zone function. They are both great watches though, so good luck deciding! |

Personally I liked the way the Milgauss sat on my wrist better.

Get the GMT - by far the best watch that Rolex produces today. Classic Rolex design cues mixed in with cutting edge technology, the practicality of a watch that can display 3 time zones, engineering brilliance and a watch that's equally at home in the office as in the great outdoors. The Milgauss is a nice watch, but the GMT IIc, for me, sums up everything that is good about a modern Rolex.

The GMTIIc in my opinion is one of, if not the, most complete, beautiful, functional, robust, accurate, useful Rolex ever produced......The Milgauss is a great watch no doubt but I feel that the GMT will get the most votes.....

GMT IIc...I think you'll quickly tire of a non-date watch on your wrist.....GMT is also a classic, while I would say the GOOSE is a fad...once again!

Go for the Milgaus i have a GV and it always gets admiring looks, i was in Mayors in Sarasota a few weeks ago and they fawned all over my watch they had the "standard" white and black faced dials in stock but the GV is harder to get and not so regularly seen.
I have a Submariner and a datejust Thunderbird but it is the Milgaus that gets the comments. But in saying that i do like the look of the new GMT, for me it is a toss up between that and a SS Daytona next time round. Good luck with your shopping i am sure you will not be dissapointed with either choice both great but different watches. J |

Definitely the GMT II. Not a fan of the white face Milgauss.

I'd choose the GMTII-C as well. I'm not a Milgauss fan.

GMT IIc by far. Better function, better looking watch between the two. Milgaus for me is just way too plain.
Good luck! |

Milgauss doesn't really scream Rolex like the GMT does. I like that (esp. the cyclops).

As cool as the Milgauss is, I'd have to go with the GMT.
