Full Circle

It's been 15 years since a last looked down at Submariner on my wrist. I sold a 14060 in 2012 after not wearing it for a few years. For some reason, I just never bonded with it and after selling it, I sort of lost interest in the whole watch hobby. Fast forward to 2019 when my wife gifted me a 214270. It was instant love (as much as one can have for an object). I still love the Explorer and wouldn't part with it for any other watch due to the memories I have with it, but I have to say that I'm feeling a similar love with a recent acquisition that has brought me back to my first really nice watch... the Submariner. The 124060 is really special. I'm mesmerized by it every time I look down and can say I fully understand why so many have been waiting so long to get the call.

That is an awesome piece. I'm waiting for the Date version of that watch. It's spectacular.

Congratulations. I share your enthusiasm. The 124060 is an impressive piece and my favorite Submariner by far. It’s a true heir to the first iconic reference. .

Congrats! I recently got a 126610 and have just been absolutely thrilled with it. The new 12xxxx series watches are a perfect blending of modern quality and features with more traditional proportions. Wears and looks fantastic!

I waited 1.5-2 years I think for the call and I was down for either 124060 or 126610, it took a while but it was definitely worth it.

Tastes evolve. What you didn't like back in the days can be something you love in the future and vice versa. I wish you a lot of fun with your new, cool watch.
