Gift from AD

Hey folks. Lucky enough to collect my first Rolex today. A long awaited Sub 124060 from my local AD. It took 3 years (which isn't uncommon!) but had a great handover experience from the sales associate.

I was already over the moon to get my hands on my personal grail when the SA also pulled out a bottle of Veuve Clicquot as a gift. Just wondering how common it is for the AD to throw in that type of gift as a thank you for your custom? Have any of you guys got any other unexpected extras when picking up a new piece?

Congrats on the sub!! You’re going to love it.

I’ve received a hat on my first purchase. The bottle of Veuve is very nice of them.

Congrats on your first, lovely watch.

I received a bottle with my GMT which my wife picked up on Xmas eve as a surprise.... and we both enjoyed the bottle on Xmas day.

Enjoy your watch but I must ask.... what's next? (There's always another one on the mind.

Very common in the UK from Rolex AD's. I have received in the past few year Champagne and Rolex branded perfume when purchasing.

There's always another one. Already liking the idea of a green OP41. The contrast of something a bit less conservative. Once you pop...

Congratulations. Shame you had to wait but well worth it.

As to gifts, my AD gave me an umbrella on one occasion and a pen case puls stationary another time. What they give the the most is good discounts on other brands and other items. I've had a couple of discounts on Rolex but not since 2020.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

The Submariner is a fantastic reference and I hope you enjoy it

Our AD has thrown in a variety of extras over the years.

My wife really enjoys the perfume.

Outstanding watch. I’ve got my eye on it as my next. I got a Rolex hat from my AD after I purchased my 3rd Rolex. Looks like you got out the gate good! Enjoy your awesome sub!!

Thanks all. You're a good bunch with exquisite taste

My wife said it's the most expensive champagne I've ever bought!

I've bought 5 Rolexes and only recently did I get a gift. I got a keychain, wallet and a pen.

Congrats on your 124060! It’s a great watch. I didn’t get any gifts with any of my purchase (but I also dont really care). I’d rather buy my watches at retail without crazy waits than get a bottle of alcohol or an umbrella or the like.

Congrats !
The Submariner happens to be my most worn piece, as it's the "beater" out of the collection.
3 years is very uncommon, Gifts are very common.

Congrats!

I am envious of those that got champagne, perfume or other gifts. I had to contend with just the bill and receipt :(
