1016 dial on 124270?

Hi - a thought just crossed my mind and I was curious if anyone knew a definitive answer. I'm not saying I'm going to ever going to do this, but out of curiosity - does anyone know if it is possible to replace the current Explorer 36 (124270) dial with a 1016 dial? In my head, I'm thinking it would work. Thoughts?

I believe you will find the mounting is totally different for the dial between the 2 dials.

The 1016 used a 15xx series movement and the dial feet are in different locations than on 31xx or 32xx movements. In fact the 32xx movements have a different system altogether that use dials without feet that friction fit over the movement top plate like a tupperware lid.

Ahh I see, thank you for the responses. Again, I wasn't planning on doing it, just a thought that popped into my head and I was curious.

Cheers.
