Not disagreeing that Omega makes a better timepiece than Oris and I certainly don’t need an Oris to catch this illness, I already have it!

This purchase is not only for a ‘fun’ watch but also a watch I can wear relatively hard and not worry too much about scratches, etc… The price point of the Oris and the intrigue about the brand make it a nice fit in that regard. However, I find the Omega to be a striking watch and have had great experiences with several other Omegas so….. decisions decisions!

I have a Bamford Snoopy as my fun watch. Also a few Moonswatches. Especially the Mission to Mars which I used it as a substitute to the Alaska project.

Looking for a little input. I’d like to get a new watch that’s a little more fun than anything else I have in my collection currently. Thinking brighter color dial/bezel, maybe a little gold.

I’m definitely a diver guy but this one needs to be in a strap, under 43mm case (prefer 41-42), and under $5k.

The 2 I have been drawn to so far are the Oris Aquis Bicolor (blue and gold) and the Omega Seamaster 300M with summer blue dial.
I do own an Omega PO that I love but have never owned an Oris but am intrigued by the brand. The Oris can be had gray market for under $3k but the Omega still pushes $5k when it can be found.

Thoughts on these 2 watches and any others I should consider? Excited to hear your input!

So just a quick update. I ended up with a Tudor Pelagos FXD! I love it. I really like the Summer Blue Omegas but since I already have an Omega in my collection but didnt have a Tudor, I opted for the Pelagos. I am thinking I may part with 1 or 2 other pieces in my collection that dont get much wrist time and still consider the Omega or Oris! Thanks again for all of your input.

Thanks for following up. That is awesome. Congratulations! I hope to own a Pelagos some day too.
