My wife’s 90’s Tudor Lady-Sub has a Rolex Oyster case and Rolex Oyster bracelet. It is factory engraved with ‘Original Oyster Case by Rolex’ on the case back if I remember correctly. Basically a little Rolex Submariner with an ETA movement.

it's rolex's sister company and it supposed to be more affordable with the same reliability as rolex.

Can someone tell me about Tudor please
I can’t wear my Rolex in London without feeling self-conscious whereas my Tudor, I have no problem.
Great watches at a fair price with obvious heritage. |

You’ve been here for 10 years with over 1000 posts, there’s no way you don’t know about Tudor

Can someone tell me about Tudor please
It occurred to me that you could probably use a pic:
THIS is a Tudor, specifically a Black Bay 58, a very popular model. It is also available in Blue and there is a .925 silver edition. You can get this one on a fabric strap, or on bracelet. I hope this helps…… Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Another way to look at it - a number of brands have reissues of old favourites.
Rolex doesn’t do reissues however Tudor is allowed to access the back-catalogue and give us modern interpretations of old pieces from the Wilsdorf House without paying astronomical prices for vintage pieces. |

Super troll post.
Tudor is far from a bastardized watch and hardly a poor man’s Rolex. Those who think that clearly don’t understand Tudor. I feel many Tudor pieces are as good if not better than Rolex especially for value. But you’re totally trolling so keep going. |

I have no need to copy and paste anything, as all my posts and replies are from my own research and study about the history of the RWC over the past 50 plus years .Now 79 years old and expect I have forgotten more than most today will ever learn about the history of the RWC. And will add the Tudor brand was available in commonwealth countries like Canada in the 1920/30s.But the Tudor brand did not enter the world wide market till 1946,Now you have a nice day on the moon Normunds.

I bought my first Tudor in the 90's while stationed overseas without knowledge of the Hans Wilsdorf involvement. It had the Rolex crown/caseback but was not a chrono. Flash forward 30 years, I see Tudor as the IYKYK watch.
If Tudor drops a 39mm Opaline GMT on a five link in 2024, sign me up first. |

Tudor is by far IMHO the best “bang for the buck” in a watch. They are durable robust at a very reasonable price. The company stands behind the product with a 5 year warranty. And they come in just about any variation the heart desires. Here is a couple photos of my Tudors.
