Frustrated.....stupid thread!

I just needed to vent...I am so frustrated. I have always owned American made vehicles, because I feel supporting my country's manufacturing is a good thing.

I also like American cars. But I am just a bit frustrated and understand why many Americans choose to purchase non American brands, especially in light of the whole "bail out".

I ordered a Jeep Wrangler in April for my birthday. There were spectacular deals. Then the week my Jeep was scheduled to be built, the whole bankruptcy thing started. So I have been waiting 4 months for a relatively inexpensive vehicle.

The dealer said my truck would be here yesterday (friday) and with my luck, the transport truck broke and I won't get my Jeep until next week.

I took Friday off so I could do all the paperwork.....

To top things off, Chrysler told all of the Viper club of America members that they would have a certificate this week that gave them another 1k off the sticker of a new vehicle. They told us the certificates were sent last week.

Well, I have no certificate and no jeep...so I am frustrated and pissed off!

I know you guys don't care...but it seemed like a good place to vent and I don't mind if you hijack the thread

Now I got it out of my system.....I wish the Swiss made cars as good as their watches!!!

Kaya,

It sounds as though you've had an exceptionally frustrating week! I know the excitement which accompanies the delivery of something important to you, and when that is postponed, it feels terrible. I hope things improve very soon, and that you'll post pictures of your Jeep when it arrives. Best regards, Faith

Vent away, Kaya.

I hope that everything gets sorted out to your satisfaction. If not, cancel the order and get a Daytona SS.

They're getting cheaper these days.

Hang in there - Wranglers are really nice.

It could be much worse... This was a widely publicized BMW shipping disaster last year. 370 cars damaged, 70 a total write-off.

Kaya, I know it's hard but be patient and hang in there. Everything will work out for the best and one more week isn't too long to wait. Before you know it they will call and you can go pick up your Jeep Wrangler!!!

Don't be frustrared, it will be worse when you get a american build car so be happy so long it last.

I know the feeling, I have to wait 4 weeks for my one and I could see it behind the fence every day.

Hehehe, that's actually kind of cute! You don't have to worry about tight parking spots :)

I actually got my VCA rebate certificate today, so at least I have that.

I ordered the Wrangler because I was in a nasty hit and run accident in the Viper in January. It took 4 months to get my car fixed and they didn't catch the guy who created the 5 car pile up

I don't want to expose my Z06 or Viper to daily driving, because of the insane traffic conditions where I live. There's at least 1 accident a day on my way to work.

These are my two babies. I'll post a picture of the Wrangler when I get it.

I own a lot of different makes, with Vettes and P cars being near the top of my list. I always have a pick-up truck and currently drive a Ford 150 Crew Cab. I want to replace it, but with the UAW owning the Bowtie, and I was one of the bond holders who were told go to the back of the line, no matter what contract law says, well; I just may never buy American again. I am looking at the full size Toyota Crew Cab. Mind you, I think you should buy what you like. Also, nice cars! Hey, I think I just vented!

Maybe you can hit the dealer up for some free car mats! In a few days, you will get your Jeep and this will just be a memory! Nice cars BTW
