Incoming Incoming Starwheel

Just got the news a starwheel is arriving later this week that I’ll be fortunate to be allocated.

For those that know, does the watch come with a clasp or is that something extra to purchase from AP like when you buy a ROO? Thanks in advanced.

Congrats! It's such a great reference.

It comes on a white gold tang buckle (not a deployant clasp) if that's what you're asking.

Congrats! It comes in a tang buckle. I asked AP what a deployant costs for the steel code and it was about $4k last year….so I didnt even bother what the WG clasp costs

That’s helpful to hear thank you!

Since you all seem to know, the dial is apparently blue aventurine. Is that an actual stone dial in the watch or just made to look like it?

I believe it is aventurine glass and not aventurine the stone.

It is the glass. The WG deployant is around 6k + Tax.

I think if you will be wearing the watch a deployant is an easy decision.

Thanks all! If I got one l, I’m guessing they are fairly easy to get given I’m no VIP.

What’s your purchase history? I just got it as a 6th after being told it was impossible to get for 1.5 years

they had some problems to produce the dial before, now it's probably solved.

A lot of clients declined due to the expensive retail price

I can see that. It seems like the MSRP of a lot of these are a little high relative to perceived value. It would be hard to pass up if one were offered, but wouldn’t be a slam dunk.

Sounds about right. If not for the production issues like others mentioned, I think SW would have been allocated around there. I only had 2 when it first came out and was told I have a good shot at getting it as a 3rd….but that didn’t happen bc of the issues

I don’t think the price is too high, for a wg Code that looks complicated. Complicated codes are much more expensive. For a wg watch like this, it is a good buy, I think. One of the best codes, if you ask me!

Got mine on the wrist today. First time seeing it in person. Exceeded all expectations and then some. Photos do not come close to capturing the beauty of the dial.

These are stunning pics, Palex. Perfect captures. Reminds me again the beauty of this piece.

But also reminds me of the disappointment of not having been allocated one. Thanks!

We've seen quite a few attributions now, so I would say yes.

The case is made with just a bit of gold and, the center is just a ceramic ring.
I wear it too but I still thinkin it's a bit expensive
