A good choice. How do you like the Bedale? I like my olive (brown) Ashby but I'm getting the itch for a navy Bedale.

I am very happy with my Bedale Jacket in navy blue. It's perfect for an elegant outfit. I also own a Beaufort in olive. The Bedale is shorter than the Beaufort.

Ha! Easy to be worn down by the 5170. I’ve never seen the 3237 in person but I do have a 7097. The 5170 slaughters it. It has far more charm and is such a versatile watch. I see myself selling the 7097 at some point but no way will I part with the 5170. It’s firmly at the top of my permanent collection. The 7097 is a truly impressive piece but not compared to the 5170, for me at least.

I love the 7097 but actually like it's smaller older brother the 7037 a lot more. Same retrograde seconds but to me just a lot more soul (for lack of a better word) and fantastic size and the value is incredible. I also love the 7027 and if I ever decide to get another watch in yellow/rose gold that will be it without a doubt.

But this is the PP forum and all that to say that 5170 is a fantastic piece I never even considered before this thread! Maybe I'll quote this post with an incoming someday

It’s a great one in my personal opinion. Loads of complications, the first in house chronograph movement made by PP, a vertical clutch, tasti tondi pushers, I could go on and on.

I’m seeing fewer on the market these days too. But can be still had for a deal.
