No More SARs??????????

I've read in another forum that the 2006 contract SAR is the last production run. The TSAR [tritium tubes, quartz] and GSAR [tritium tubes, auto] are both still in production as are the JSAR [jumbo quartz] and CSAR [jumbo chrono, auto].
So if you own the classic SAR with the clean dial, date @ 3:00, and cyclops, or want one get it fast cause they ain't makin' any more.
Might have to change the status of my SAR from beater to classic.

Thanks, Jeremy!! The bezel makes it even rarer.
Maybe I can trade it for a Paul Newman Daytona in a few years.

I have debated a long time about these marathon watches...specifically the CSAR.....
But I just think it may be just too big.....love it though....it would be a good beater.

What do you think...?????

Sure like the idea of the CSAR. The 7750 is my favorite chrono movement. But I worry that either the size is way too big OR that I'd like the size and it would ruin all my other watches.

Plus...it would probably get all banged up.....????
However, I may have an opportunity to get it for 50% off through a "military friend".....decisions.....decisions....??????
I like the SAR, but I do NOT like the new ones with the "US Government" stamped on it.

I have the DSAR and the SAR Automatic. They are both bulletproof watches.

the DSAR and SAR are sweet. i also love teh GMT IIC. im jonesing for either a GMT IIc stainless or a Daytona. not sure where the obsession for the Daytona came from but i woke up the other day and wanted it. i guess its a classic that will hold its value at least.

I have a GSAR:

Lousy picture I know, maybe I'll try to take some nice ones some day.

If you decide to get one, the bracelet is worth every penny, and probably a lot more. The rubber strap they come with is also very nice, and of course they go great with Zulu straps, too.

And gkanga, nice GSAR. The OEM bracelet is rock solid. These watches are great candidates for nato straps too.
