Tudor Hydronaut

Hey all, I have been on the lookout for a watch that I would wear during my hiking trips and my winter skiing activities. Most of you will undoubtedly shout "Submariner" as a choice and I did consider it, but at 2500-3000 Euros for one things look glimpse. The watch I am looking for is going to take some really serious abuse so a 3000 Euro Rolex would not be my first choice. If I bought it I would probably only wear it on special occasions.

Which brings me to the Tudor. What would be a suitable alternative to the submariner? Its Tudor cousin perhaps. Any experiences with the Hydronaut? I am really fond of the original Hydronaut with the carbon fiber dial but realistically it will be difficult to find one.

You do not need a divers watch when you go skiing...

Why not get yourself an Explorer:

Or this one... that is made for skiing adventures - and is capable of taking a lot of abuse:

This said I really like the Tudor line, and a Hydronaut or the new Grantour would be a great watch for the purpose. The Grantour is available with white or grey dial, and it looks really great! Check it out.

Best,

A

Go the Explorer, didn't they take it to the top of Everest? Should be ok for the ski slopes.
