I don't know... That watch isn't exactly appealing to the eye, but it is all a matter of opinion.

the look is OK

For a woman's watch, I think it's fine. Don't worry about the diamonds falling off. However, keep in mind that 36mm watches for women can work, but a Rolex 36mm is a very masculine, heavy 36mm.

It will never look feminine or dressy for a woman. I've seen some chrono's that are fair size that can look cute for a woman, but not a Rolex. You may want to consider the 34mm Dates or other, vintage Rolex models that are even smaller.

And I just bought one silver Flower as birthday present to my wife.
Believe me it looks wonderfull esspecially with her diamond ring together.
Silver fits best to a diamond ring.

Although I personally do not like the flower dial on a rolex, I can see a woman wearing this. I don't think the 36mm is a size issue at all for a woman. I do disagree that 36mm is the new women's size, however. I have a dj that the size is perfect for me, and I've had several 40mm rolexes that I liked, but didn't feel as comfortable for me as the dj's did.

Perhaps Rolex is targeting another audience. Rolex over the course of decades, have become jewelry pieces than tool watches.

I am thinking with today's society, I hope everyone is open minded here, Rolex could be targeting homosexuals. They are another audience that would help them sell watches. It has become acceptable regardless of one's sexuality and I think Rolex is taking advantage of this market.

These 36mm are feminine enough for women and men and with these 36mm DJ, women can wear them and men as well, since their wrists are bigger. This would expand their market and gives the brand more versatility for their targeted customers.

This is only my opinion in regards to the new feminine DJ's models.

Just purchased the 2 tone 36 mm datejust flower motif and loooove it. I got the jubilee band with the diamonds and the gold/silver dial and it looks beautiful on the wrist. If you can wear a larger face watch I would recommend taking a look at this updated model.

Just my opinion, but if you can wear the larger size watch and care about re-sale value, this is not the watch to buy. With that said, definitely buy and wear what you like and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

This is not my first watch purchase (although it is my 1st Rolex) and it will not be my last. I have always wanted a rolex for the longest time and even if I had gotten a classic one years ago it is something that I would not want to wear today. Long ago when it was fashionable to wear a 26mm size is not a size that I would want to wear today. Yes I too want to purchase items that will stand the test of time since it is a costly investment, but I also want to purchase an item that I will enjoy presently and into the future and larger watches have been in fashion now for women for a while and all of the upscale watchmakers are catering and showing larger watches for women. That is why Rolex too has jumped onto this bandwagon to gain this segment of the market.

IMO, the watch is not everyone's taste but it looks interesting. As for size, I see many ladies, especially the young ones, wear big watches and they look quite good on them.

When I saw it a few weeks ago I really liked it.

Then I thought about wearing it for the next 10,15,20 years and decided against it.

A bit too trendy for me.

IMO, its a beautiful watch for a woman and a perfect size (If she likes a larger watch). My wife loved the look without the diamond bezel so I ordered a pink floral dial 116234 for my wife. It should be here on Friday... just in time for her birthday. Will post pics

As far as it being a fad, its fine with me. Once she gets tired of it, I'll swap out the dial and have myself a perfectly good DJ
