man 1 million watches is a lot...

1,000,000 watches x at $1,000= $1,000,000,000

That's if they can sell 1 million watches. And with my very rough calculations, they make at least a Billion in revenue. Are they on the NASDAQ exchange or on another exchange?

But I doubt they can sell 1 million watches in a year... do they, too much competition? Let's see some financial reports! (Like if I know what i'm talking about.... lol)

Rolex is privately held, you won't find them on the NASDAQ.

That Rolex watches are handmade per unit individually.

This is a complete myth the majority of the Rolex watches are mass-made by state of the art factories that apply various robot construction methods invented by Rolex. This high-end watch brand finishes around 1 million watches each year. There are some very special edition diamond watches, however that are really handcrafted, but these amount to a very very small number around 1% of total output.

Years are spent in the making of a Rolex watch.

Untrue. Although this claim is bombarded by Rolex watch advertising campaigns, there is no scientific proof that proves this. This marketing strategy is just designed to create an image of laborious craftsmanship that takes years to make, to justify the price of course. The idea behind is to cover up that in reality Rolex watches are just mass produced.Like many other brands Swiss, Japanese, or Europeen now like Rolex some of the Japanese are hand crafted like the Grand Seiko range plus a few others
.

Rolex watches can be resold at a high price.

Although it is true that Rolex watches have higher resale value, and are very fine watches, it does not assure that buying a Rolex watch is a sound investment. Any watch when resold was meant to depreciate in value. So be sure that business of reselling a Rolex watch is not the reason for buying one of the world’s most expensive watches. But on the other side of the coin most vintage Rolex watches will increase in value.
