Does LV mean LoVe ??
“Lunette Verte”
thats what LV stands for.. but to me it L-o-V-e.. I got my BNIB V-series Sub LV yesterday ! and its BEAUTIFUL ! I originally liked the Maxi dial but wasn't too sure about the green bezel insert.. but once i saw it.. "WOW" i particularly like the green at night.. its dark, with hints of emerald green ! i bought a black insert already because i was planning on changing it out.. but i am not so sure now. i might keep it as is.. and buying another sea dweller so i can have the black bezel. i already miss the SD i sold last week anyways here are some pics (taken with my phone - been too bz to take proper pics) also included the other two i have. three questions to other LV owners. 1 - the box i received was much smaller than the other Rolex boxes I got previously.. is that the correct box i got? 2- the bracelet seems even flimsier than the SD bracelet.. are they different? 3- do u love urs more than i love mine?? thx in adv

I received my new LV ("M" Series) about two weeks ago and it came in a box exactly like the one you show. I also purchased a black insert from Steve Mulholland right here on TRF. I had the insert put in (too chicken to do it myself) and it looks fantastic. I figure I will swap it back and forth about every six months to get that "brand new" all excited again feeling. As far as the bracelet, I think it is just fine. I used to own an Omega Planet Ocean 42mm whose bracelet seemed amazing and I guess it kind of was but, I really see (feel) no difference at all. The one difference I will happily point out is the Sub bracelet handles scratching a whole lot better. Beautiful watch you have there, wear it in good health.

My LV came in the same box yours did. I too purchased a black bezel insert from Steve Mulholland to switch off when I felt the urge. So far, it has been green all the way!
Enjoy the watch - I know I do. |

1. Box is smaller than the one my SD came in
2. Bracelet is the same as my SD you just don't get the extra long link or screwdriver. 3. I really love mine, more than you? I don't know and are we talking biblical love or just friends kind of love? Congrats on the new watch, I hope it gives you as much pleasure as mine does me. Wear it in good health

My LV that I purchased last October came in a box just like yours. Don't know about the SD bracelet vs. the LV. I LOVE my LV!

It's been discussed time and time again, but I still don't understand why Rolex cheaps out on their boxes. I love the display my PAM came in and wish Rolex would step up their game. I know it's all about the watch, but the details matter too!

however, i am certainly NOT happy with the trade.. Don't get me wrong.. both transactions went smoothly. But i realize now that i should not have let that SD go.. not only do I miss it terribly.. I now realize that the LV needs to stay with the green bezel insert.. which means now i am in a market for a SD again (or i might wait for the ceramic sub..)

thanks everyone !
one other note.. and other LV owners may chime in here.. when u tilt the face at a certain angle, especially at night, the green disappears completely and the bezel looks like it has the black insert in it ! then u tilt it again slightly to get the dark emerald green.. then tilt it towards the light to get the full green effect.. i am stunned by the different character provided with the LV.. simply Marvelous !
