Milgauss GV discontinued after this year?

Is the GV going to be discontinued after 2010 for sure or just rumor?

Just around during idol chat. Can anyone post GREAT pix of it? I'm considering one as my first Rolex, but not around my town!

I did hear that the last actual green crystal has been produced, not sure how many they have in reserves. No-one knows for sure except for Rolex execs, though.

Just seems like unfounded rumours to me.

I heard that the crystals are no longer in production so they have a stockpile of parts. I should ask my salesguy though, he'll get to the bottom of this.

Highly unlikely. Rolex tend to discontinue watches that are a) unpopular or b) to be replaced with a new version after being in production for decades.

The Milgauss GV was only recently introduced (in 2007 I think) and is very popular.

I met the rep in Tampa in late 2008 and asked the same thing, in case I needed to buy another. He said the watch will be around as it is for a while.

If they have been producing the crystal since early 2008 till present I can imagine that is a huge number of crystals!! IMO I can't see the watch going anywhere for a very long time - also the GV has a huge following now and is not disliked like the original. If anything they may discontinue the white and black but the GV is here to stay - getting a funny deja vue of Submariner LV?

If I hear anymore rumours about the discontinuation of the various Rolex models the Brand will disappear off the planet.
