1979 DD Sapphire or Acrylic?
Could anyone let me know if a 1979 18038 would have had a sapphire or acrylic crystal? and would £2,500 be too much to pay for a very clean example but no box or papers?

Sapphire
It should be sapphire, 2500 pound is a steal.
Have it serviced for another 400 and it's immaculate. Jack |

It doesn't go so much by the year (but switched over in 1976), but model number:
180X (4 digit) - acrylic 18XXX - sapphire |
