John Mayer sighting in Vancouver!

Not buy me but I was in a local AD yesterday and we were talking about older Rolex models and I mentioned John Mayer is an avid collector and the sales lady said that he had just been in a few days earlier looking at what they had.
Apparently he was in town for a gig and having some R&R

Not sure what he was wearing but she said he was such a nice man with a real passion and knowledge for watches. he ended up comping them all tickects to the show

They were really impressed with him, quiet spoken and a really decent chap!

It is so lovely to hear this about a young man who is at the top of his game proffesionally and who remains with his feet firmly planted on the ground with no aires and graces

I did not ask what he was wearing and being the excellent AD that they are they were very discrete as well!

I too think John Mayer is a great guy. Having never met him of course, I can only go by the accounts of others. He is a vintage Rolex collector, that is worth points to me.

He is one of the best young guitarist we have today IMO. He had SRV as a strong influence upon his playing and you can clearly hear that in his blues playing.

Saw him perform a month ago in OKC and enjoyed the show tremendously. We had fifth row center seats so I could clearly see his chosen Rolex for the evening. Sadly (at least for me) he was sporting his black Daytona rather than anything vintage.

Oh well, still a great show!

Yeah I've seen videos of him wearing a iwc. There's actually a video of him making fun of kayne west bc his watch cost more than his necklace. Funny stuff!

He seems to be a nice guy and he certainly knows his watches. Not just buying expensive stuff he seems to be a real wis.

Hmm, I have a number of what would be called "famous" clients. What one reads in the press, gossip TV, perez hilton et al is, in my experience many degrees removed from actual reality for I would say about 98% of the time!

I remember being in a supermarket line up a few months ago and saw those awful magazines, there blazend across the cover was a story about one of my clients. I immediatly phoned her to see if she was OK, the story had her leaving her partner and moving into some other mans house! She was at home with her partner and children watching a kids show!

My gut told me all was well but I had to check as only two weeks before I had been chatting with her and all seemed well.

For every one story that they get right there are 99 more that they get oh so wrong!

He seems to be a decent guy, until he opens his mouth, that seems to have gotten him a bit of hot water lately with a couple of women. I will admit he is talented, his music is just not what I like to listen to, to each is own I guess.

Lol this isn't something from the supermarket tabloids or from some website. This is from real life experience.

Let's just put it this way. It dealt with a backstage pass, John Mayer offering up his "services", a denail of these "services", resulting in action with an iron fist.

Don't get me wrong though, I love the guy. His music is amazing and he is up there in my top 10 most favorite artists.
