If Rolex asked you to remake one model..

If Rolex told you that you could remake one model, and that they would sell it worldwide:

Which one would you start with?
And what would you do?

I would make a pepsi Daytona with brushed links.

Pepsi & Coke GMT IIC. Second round I'd introduce a new Sub-C variant with green gold dial and black ceramic bezel. Third: I'd bring back the SD with ceramic bezel, maxi-dial, supercase, updated bracelet, GlideLock.

I'd do a remake of a Daytona 6263 with a black ceramic tachymetre bezel, with platinum numerals of course. A choice of three dials - white, black, and a white and black "panda" dial. Standard 40mm case, with the cal. 4130 - that'd go down a treat

I'm going to offer up 2 b/c of a technicality.

First one is a "6154 Rolex" I put it in quotes b/c this is a controversial piece that may have never existed. They have sold a few on Antiquorum but there are many that believe that these pieces are all fake.

Now, one that is real that I would love.

I would slap the Rolex designers upside the head and make them offer the DJ and DD in 39mm. I would insist them offer everyone who bought the 41mm morphodite the chance to have the movement recased in the new 39mm at no charge.

I would love to see a Red Sub and a GMT 16710 supplied with a Super Jubilee bracelet as standard and all 3 interchangable bezels

The Pepsi/Coke GMT are the watches Rolex need to bring back. Why they had to make the ceramic bezel is beyond me without first seeing if a replacement was going to be in place. The ceramic bezel is nice, but is it that much better that they have dropped certain models.

New GMT II's with pepsi, coke, and black bezel variant. Fully in SS, and outfitted from the start with a super jubilee. Bezel would be aluminum, 24 hour hand would be red. Maxi dial and super case if you must, and maybe in 39mm diameter as apposed to 40.

The watch would come with all three bezel variants, and even a tool for switching them.

I would tell Rolex to stop selling the same dial for different sport models and make each model unique. Sorry i digress.
