I hope you'll post lots of pics when you get it!!!!
Thanks, Karis, I bought it online from a dealer in the UK. I am at work in Baku right now but the guy who sits next to me who happens to be on a slightly different rotation (we work 4 weeks here then get 4 weeks break at home) is going to hand carry it out for me so I get it sooner!!!...he is also a WIS, he's a member (Exup) and has a few Rolex models and is also into Tudor....I think he is as excited as I am! Be sure I will post pictures but it might not be 'til I get home in another couple of weeks time (ash cloud permitting!)

I've noticed two distinct things from this thread.....there are more Tudor nuts on here than I realised and there are also more cyclists as well.....I always suspected it, but now I know for sure I am in the right place!!!!

Plenty out there, Matt.......they are the next "thing".....get them while you can...I think they'll be the next big "must have" for collectors.....can't wait to get mine.....I have to say I prefer the chrono's over all the others....there really are some fantastic looking options as well....

Those Litespeeds are great thanks for the pics

Cycling and quality watches are similarly addictive, the more you participate the more you enjoy the activity.

Well Bill those things happen

I'm really a bit annoyed that Campagnolo has gone to 11 speed. It makes it really difficult to change wheels between bikes. I've got a Trek OCLV with 9 Speed and a Cannondale with 10 speed and I'd like to get 11 Speed Don't know what to do there Maybe I should sell a bike or a couple of bikes.........

Yeah Steve it is a pest I know......imagine what it was like for me, I was racing almost full time and had to go from 8 to 9 to 10 speed in a matter of 5 years or so....going between each one meant new rear mech, new levers and a new cassette at least....a new chain was needed to go from 9 to 10.......but it's further reaching than that.....9 speed cassettes would not fit 8 speed hub carriers so all wheels had to be changed between 8 and 9 / 10....at least 10 speed cassettes fit 9 speed carriers.....I managed to get my hands on some second hand 9 speed carriers and fitted them onto 8 speed hubs, this worked pretty well actually....but getting the carriers was a pest......when I was racing normally I had two road race bikes, one time trial bike, a good training bike, a winter bike and a stripped down bike for use on the turbo only.....I had tons of wheels (actually I still do have tons of equipment!!!)....and I had to try and make it all interchangeable....being pretty well sponsored helped but it was a financial headache....

I hear your pain Bill
I like the new Campagnolo 11 Speed levers, but I'm not sure I need an extra cog. The new 11 Speed chain is mighty thin, but you can fit it onto the 10 speed carrier (cassette body). Seems that they just narrowed the spacers between the cogs to make 11 fit for the width of 10 speed.
But yeah, new front and rear mech, levers chain it all adds up .....and then making the wheels compatible...what a nightmare.

WOW....How did i miss this thead ?!?!?

Big congrats Bill, for you new Daytona with Date

To be honest i will worried to ask my colleague to pick the watch for me, especially now that he is a WIS. Maybe he 'll decide to keep the watch for himself.....

I hope that you 'll enjoy your TUDOR as i enjoy mine ( 20 days in the row on my wrist)

Ha ha, Panos....I hear you.....actually we have an unwrittten agreement.....we have transported watches for each other for a while now, he lives in the UK but has a place in Spain as well, I live in the UK but work here with him and have previously worked with him on other jobs here and in Paris.......so it's quite common for one of us to see the other's watches after service or before first delivery.....it's great to have a WIS close by, I know the watch is in excellent hands....

IMHO Tudor is a highly underrated watch. It's not until you have one strapped to your wrist that you realize what a fantastic watch it is!
