You mean at that terrible, horrible time in April when money flies out of it for no good reason? The 15th, I believe?? You're right about that, Dan!

That was really good Allen, thanks, this is a good day for me after the week I had with Sammie, her emergency care was a horrible wake up call to her illness, her suffering, the heart specialist giving us bad news and other things. Now she is not suffering and she is going to be cremated and then Jan and I will take care of the ashes when we stop crying. Sammies sister Spooky is distraught and she keeps calling for her, I hope soon she will realize her sister is gone.

Thanks everyone on TRF.

Thanks, David. I definitely understand. We have five cats now, all from the same mother - different litters. They are all currently healthy, but they are all between 11 and 12 years old. When they begin to shuffle off this mortal coil, we will be devastated!!!

Our next door neighbor just lost her mother, and her cat doted on her. She keeps going up to the mother's bedroom door and scratching to come in. She mopes about, and is often sick to her stomach. It is normal, though. When you open your arms to love, you also open them to heartache as well.

Carry on - Sammie would want it! Cheers!

Welcome back!

This is one my favorite threads I've seen on TRF. It just speaks to the quality of people that are on this forum.

Now, let's just get back to normal, ok!?

Welcome back Dave, I have gotten away from TRF, but it is nice that things have been worked out.
Take care and I wish you the best.
Sorry to hear of your loss with Sammie, but it is good you can let go and understand the better place.

Welcome back! I've followed a few enthusiast forum web sites (reef aquarium, audiophile and Ducati motorcycle forums) and the members here at TRF are definitely the most classy and mature of any group I've encountered. Interestingly, the audiophiles, though they are well-educated and for the most part quite well-to-do given that they spend up to 25K for a pair of speaker wires, are the most abusive, immature, hostile and impolite forum members I've ever seen on a serious site.

I greatly enjoy the world-wide perspectives of the TRF members. Each contributes something to the whole, as do you with your information about safes, etc. Always remember, it's just a group of friends talking about watches. Nothing more.

Jocke and Leo, I have really caused a serious hardship between us and I hope to mend this with time.
Thanks everyone for the emails that have been sent to me.

David,
It takes a big man to say something like this and I toast you sir. You have rubbed me wrong in the past, but this post has really impressed me.

Welcome!

Good on ya. I always tell my kids, I don't care if you screw up, just fess up and let's make it right! Btw -- no clue what the original ruckus was about, but I'm a big fan of sarcasm and having fun as long as noone pokes an eye out!

Thanks everyone on TRF.

You know what this means? You are going to have to get a kitten! Just has to happen, then Spookie can be all hateful about the kitten for a few weeks, before finally accepting it.

Just do it! You know you want a baby kitty, they are always so cute! Atleast until they turn into cats!

You know they are cute when they are adults also, Spooky has always been cute, however Sammie always took the show with people, she was the cats meow.

Welcome back, D. I hope you start feeling better about Sammie soon. I found adopting another cat not too long after Sam passed to help a lot. There's lots of kitties out there that need loving homes. Willie is now an important part of our family.
