Fossil ME1030 - a good buy ?

Hopefully, I don't get thrown out of this forum, but I purchased a new Fossil ME1030 automatic movement watch about a year ago from an outlet store that was on sale for 50.00 USD. I am pretty amazed at the accuracy of the watch so far and the fact that the movement if visible from the transparent back is a nice feature as well. It certainly is worth it's value in weight :-).. Does anyone know what kind of movement this watch has, where it is made (presumably China ?) and what other watches share this movement. I am assuming Fossil would contract with an outside vendor for it.
