Yes, kept it for sentimental reasons and I also love it. It's an 14060.

My first Sub is still one of my 'daily-wear' watches. My wife graduated from college a year ahead of me and got a steady job. I graduated a year later and got a regular Army commission through ROTC. She bought me the Sub as an engagement gift in 1961. We got married, and had a 21-year career in the Army. The watch is nearly 50 years old, has my name engraved on the back, and I'll always hang on to it.

I still have the 1680 I bought when I started SCUBA diving in 1970--and it is still my daily wear.

I think I'll take it with me if I ever decide to go.

Your excused, you are only a caveman after all

Me, I still have my 16610 bought new in '94. Will never sell, not for sentimental reasons or investment but because it is still as stunning to me as the day I bought it. And it still gets some wrist time.
I have a son of 2.5 and one day it will be his.

I still have my first Rolex, an R series Air King. It was my first Rolex and I got it during some hard times and I have taken good care of it. It still runs and looks the same as it did when I got it. I can't imagine getting rid of it. I have added a Tudor Big Block and a TT Blue Sub to my meager collection over the years.

To me, buying a Rolex (any of them) is a very substantial purchase. Anytime I spend a lot of money, I make sure I am getting something I really want and I don't even want to sell it.

My first was a TT (black & gold) Sub - bought it in 2001 and have been addicted to Rolexes ever since! I still have it, but it doesn't get worn much. It's a beautiful watch, but I started favoring all SS for daily wear a few years ago. My SD gets the most wrist time now, followed by the Coke GMTII and the Polar ExpII. I imagine I'll probably end up again appreciating TT in a few years, and I'll be real glad I hung on to my first Rolex then!

This was my first Rolex. It was in fantastic condition, and I always kept it that way.
I sold it to buy my TTDJ as I always wanted a TTDJ.
I do regret selling it now, as it was my first Rolex.
Keeping my TTDJ, and thinking of an addition.

I still have my original 16610 Sub from 1991. That is going to my son. I traded my second, a Black dial Ex II that I won in a raffle, for my TT Blue Sub. My daughter wants that one.

I have sold a lot of the watches in my collection over the years, particularly when times were tough. The only watches I really regret getting rid of were three gilt dial GMTs, but I had my reasons at the time. The watches I have left are keepers.

No , It ( 1603) ended up in the safe of a Luxembourg bank and the the cost to recuperate it was much higher then the replacement value .

No, sold my 86' DJ to because of lack of wrist time to help fund another Tudor chrono.

Traded my GMT plexiglass for a sub (cost £800). I regret it, but I could never have bought another otherwise. Cant have the best of both worlds!

I sold my first Rolex, a Sub Date, after four years to purchase my true love: A GMT Master II.

I sold the GMT to buy a 300 f/2.8 telephoto back in 1994.

Three months ago I finally made amends and picked up a P serial Pepsi GMT.

It rarely leaves my wrist.
