Do you feel naked without your Rolex?

My wrist is noticeably lighter, and I do notice it when I go without a watch (e.g. when I lift weights at home).

Yes I do feel the same way but the funny thing is a casio seems to fill the void pretty good. So for me it's either a rolex or a G shock. I don't feel quite the same with an omega or an Oris.

oh man, this is probably the post that everyone has in common by far. well, not everyone feels naked, but just not the same without his rolex (i am assuming it's all guys here?) i wear a watch most of the time, too. i only take it off when i exercise (weight training, running, cycling), shower, sleep, or in any events w/ the risk of damaging the watch. i wear my other watches once in awhile, but it's just not the same.

Feeling naked when I'm not wearing a watch? Definately!.....

And when that watch on my wrist is not a Rolex, I just feel poorly dressed....very poorly dressed and lonely!

I definately feel naked without a watch, first iI thought it was just not wearing the watch but after wearing my Rolex I can definately feel the difference and cant stand to be with out it

I got burned on my wrist a few weeks ago and I am unable to wear my 1601. Really sucks.

I do enjoy wearing a wristwatch and the one I prefer is my GMT Pepsi. When it was in for service it was a very loooooonnnnnnng six weeks. And it's kind of funny because I do carry a cell phone if I want to know what time it is!!!

I had a dream last night I was in a super market and I didn't have my Rolex on and yet know one seemed to notice. I was so embarrassed all I kept thinking was I've got to get out of hear and get my Rolex on but different people kept engaging me in conversation and they just didn't seem to notice or care but I was mortified. I awoke in a terrible sweat and then I realized ... it was only a dream, phew.

Well I'm not being arrested for indecent exposure so it's not like the times I left the house naked... but, being serious, it is like something's missing. The best analogy was the seat belt comment. But it needn't be a Rolex though. Just having a watch on my wrist is all it takes.

I took a trip to St. Marteen (just returned a few days ago). I left all valuables behind since I would of hated myself if something got stolen.

So I wore my 'diving' Guess watch. Every time I looked down I was deeply sadden that my Rollie didn't make the trip.
Maybe next time, but the whole trip I felt incomplete.

Is the question is related to feeling naked without a watch, or feeling naked without a Rolex watch? For the former, the answer is yes...I do feel incomplete and naked without a watch. For the later, I feel much better covered with a Rolex, although my other watches are not really "non-entity". It seems that I did not develop good rapport with the other watches as I developed with the Rolex. My preference to Rolex is complete and did not change for the last 30 years.

Now, there is another point to make, and it is related to "age group". I belong to an age group to which a watch was an essential tool. Actually getting my first watch at the age of 9 years old was the demarcation line between small boys and "not small boys"--it was a "Jovial". For my two boys (30 and 24), a watch is not really required, as their cell phones are also used for telling time and see the watch as not really required. The elder son is slowly changing, and seems to prefer having a watch on him all the time now. The younger is not there yet. My 2 cents.
