Can't get enough of the Day-Date II...
As a former Day-Date II critic, it's time for me to eat crow. It's only a matter of time until I buy one. Thirty nine mm probably would have been better; but no matter; it just feels right. I still love the classic model. Maybe I'll have both??? That would be a bit much, I think; but I am highly infected by this watch disease, so who knows?
These photos are from my watch tour yesterday with Michael in Tokyo.... where it was over 35 degrees C. with extreme humidity! |

No white gold love?
Have you seen the white gold with the ivory dial and roman numerals?
Try that on, then you'll have to have it! |

Hey Otto, "Stekii desu ne?"
I would prefer the standard DD...but looks like you can pull off the DDII quite nicely. Take your pick I say! |

I had fallen in love with the DD2 the very first time I set eyes on it and actually tried it on my wrist.
If I could afford one, I'd have the YG version with Romans on the dial. JJ

Otto is the bezel width (width of the bezel...not its diameter) the same or bit smaller than the DJII? Reason I ask is that I tried DJ II & thought the fluted bezel simply too large. Is the DDII available in plain bezel yet in the non-Platinum version? Is Rolex planning to make the plain bezel available in wg & yg versions?

DDII with a ivory pyramid dial with romans would be my favourite! A platinum one. A platinum and gold 2 tone one if it exists!! bliss.
