Most TRF members do not consider the 14060 to be a vintage watch by virtue of its sapphire crystal and production life span.
THat said, that watch has lots of wear and tear considering it was serviced less than two years ago iand would have been polished and cleaned up by the RSC at that time. You can find these older no date subs in the classifieds here for approx. +/- 3100 and not have to worry about it being a legit Rolex etc... The bay can be a great place to find vintage watches...but Rolex on the bay seems to be a dicy proposition more often than not. |

Its a $1800 - $2200 watch tops IMO. No band (a good used OEM is $500 +) or good history hurts it. Its rough. It would make a nice beater Rolex with a skunk strap but not at the BIN price. A near mint Oyster band 14060 should be about $2850 - $3000 on a good day. A complete RSC refurb would cost about $850 so factor that as well. Try an offer!
Just my two cents. |

This seller has been around for a while, and is located close to me. He is always buying and selling on ebay, locally and elsewhere.
As far as the price goes, based on the condition and the absence of a band, I'd put it between $2200 to $2300 also. You should be able to find a complete watch in the low $3000 range - maybe less. Good luck!

Old Sub - OK?
I copied and lightened the photo of the rear of the crown guards and cannot see the square [ at the base. I do not know enough to say this isn't just polished away or if the watch has problems (other than the wear).

HELP !---Old Sub - OK?
What about the length of the minute hand? It seems to only go to the minute marker and not past them.
I am close to buying this for $2400 but need some help from the Forum |
