I know I've seen it discussed before but for those of you who have 3 or more watches how do you rotate them? I'm trying to decide if I should spend cash on a 3 or 4 watch winder or keep just handwinding when I pick the one I'm going to wear. Maybe I should just rotate by week or even month. I'm curious what you guys do and how often you change up what your wearing and whether or not you use a winder to keep them ready to go.

Weekly- don't own a winder (yet).
Only one that's a hassle is the 1675...but it's worth it.

depends on how im feeling that day, what i want to wear on my wrist.

also what ill be doing and how im dressed. not all my watches get in every month, id say about 3...maybe that 4th one. occasionally.

I have a couple watch winders. When I'm ready to change the watch I'm wearing (at least daily!), I look at the watches and which ever one catches my eye, or turns, I'll put it on. I may choose a particular watch for a special occasion or if I want to show someone a particular watch. Otherwise, pretty random.

Keep one out at a time. Most in safe....Rotate them out each few weeks or when I feel like it. Most sit in watch coffins--little plastic boxes in safe when not out. One exception--annual calendar sits on winder. All depends on mood though!!

I try to rotate them daily. But that doesn't always work out as I find my blue Tag aquaracer gets alot of wrist time. Now the Datejust will probably take over.

Depend if i'm working or not as my Sub date is my work watch.
Haven't got myself a winder yet but i'm sure i will in the future!

Completely random. I do not have a winder. All based on mood + what I'm doing and wearing that day. Sometimes I put on and take off 3 or 4 watches before I decide. Other times I force myself to keep wearing the same watch as I discover new things about it through prolonged wearing. But craziness can hit and I get tools out... Then we're into insert changes, bracelet to NATO to leather.... Love winding and re- setting. All part of the madness!!!!!!

Depends on my dress, which I feel like and what I'm doing, but the gmt always on travel and the limited rose gold speed master prof only once or twice a year.

I don't use a winder. No need really just wind it yourself unless you are ok with spending more money. If you work the watches non stop on a winder they will need service more so then if you let them wind down and have a break.

The watches usually sit in the safe, on sunday night I pick 3 or 4 to wear the following week, then I set the time and wind them. Then pick one each morning.
I pick one of the beaters for the weekend, then sunday rolls around and I chose another 3 or 4 for the next week. After a few weeks they all get worn.

Two Rolex watches. I wear one for two weeks, then the other for two weeks. The 14060 is easier to reset since it has no date function.

My AD commented to me last week "I see a lot of these watches day in and day out. Yours and one other guy that comes in here are the only two that are ever set correctly to GMT time"

now that I have 3 watches, its a little easy Exp II for work, SUB C when going out with my family, dinner, mall, etc. Panerai 177 week ends and formal wear.

p.s. I notice that the newly acquired SUB C gets alot of wrist time and the PAM sits in the safe.

I actually enjoy the firing up process when changing watches except for the Tudor Date+Day which is a bit of a pita.

I have a watch winder but don't even turn it on. It has become plain old watch case. I just let them run down when i'm not wearing them. Give them a break, like someone else said, and less service.

Agreed, Eddie. My 1970 Tudor DD is the same. It does add to the vintage charm though.

I usually wear one for a few day and the other for a few days and sometimes, like now, I wear both, one on each wrist.

I like doing that, but only when I'm wearing sleeves long enough to cover both.

It gives them both a work out.

I have 3 in rotation and keep the 2 I am not wearing in a Orbita watch winder. The other 3 I have, are in storage.

I change the rotation about every 5-6 weeks or so.

Dress and mood are the key determiners which watch gets the wrist time. Never use winders, always wind and set the date on rotation.

In the summer I wear a lighter watch (14060M w/ skunk band or Chopard GT XL on rubber) while in the winter I'll wear my SD 16600 or even my SMP quartz if I'm at the pool or traveling south.
