Help me choose! :)
Looking to get a Daytona, not sure what is the BEST price I can get on one.
Looking to either get a white S/S daytona OR a YG Leather Strapped daytona with a blue dial and Arabic numerals I feel I can get a good deal on the YG leather strapped daytona, even though that MSRP is around 21k vs 11k for the S/S. What do you think I should do?? Having the watches shown to me soon. Can anyone tell me what they paid for either watch?? |

I would get the white S/S daytona. Then again, that is what I have.

You will likely pay MSRP for the SS Daytona. They are a bit more available now, but far from commonplace ...
Daytona's on strap are not as popular. Tough thing is, you cannot go putting a bracelet on it, so you better be happy with the strap, Not a Daytona strap fan myself. |

Hey guys,
sorry I didnt realize I wasn't getting instant notifications on this thread. Really??? you can'y change out the leather strap later on?? I really want a S/S but the only ones I have found was a pre-owned one at $11k(its from when Rolex was using Zenith) or a new one from this website I found on this blog, swissluxury.com? I'm really hesitant to make such a large purchase from them though, especially since it voids warranty.... Thanks for all your input!!! |

Go SS white. And purchase from a trusted seller here. Can't go wrong.

A white S/S Daytona is at the top of my list, I before said that I found one at 11k, it turns out it is 13k, I can negotiate MAYBE to 11k because I've bought from the store before, do you all think its worth 13k for a "certified" pre-owned Zenith S/S daytona???
Thanks for all the input! |

I choose the SS white, and I would not hesitate to chose the same given the choice a second time.

As for watch to buy, I have daytonas on both bracelet and strap and do prefer the bracelet. If you do buy a strap version, getting a bracelet can not be done. |

I would imagine the SS bracelet will last much longer than a leather strap. Plus living in Miami, when you sweat, the leather will eventually deteriorate. If the daytona is for an ai rconditioned environment, that may be ok. Just my 2 cents.

OK, I am going to give the lone vote for the YG daytona with the the blue face dial and the Arabic numerals (over the SS model); assuming that you can get it a great price and that it will not a daily wearer (because of the leather strap).
For me the dial is a huge drawn and that is a nice dial. The YG daytona pre-owned (in nice condition) might be able to be had for close to 50% of original MSRP; so the price of a YG with a leather strap could be pretty close to the price of a newer SS model either new or pre-owned in LNIB condition. The leather strap would also be a negative for me; but if not my only Rolex and if it was to be worn only on certain days then it might be nice to have a leather strap for a change. My personal preference, however, would be to try (??) to get a nice pre-owned LNIB all gold Daytona with that dial for about 50% off MSRP which would be about 50% higher than the cost of a similar SS daytona model.
