Severice Question on Sub.. Blue Dial turning Purple
Hi All,
I just sent in my late 80's TT SUB Blue face for service to Rolex. They asked me if I would like to change to a new dial because of aging. My concern is that the new blue face may be different than the orig. The current dial has a purple hue..due to age...looks cool.. |

If you like the current dial, I would definitely not have it changed. What for? You like it and you safe money by keeping it.

Rolex will frequently ask if you want the dial replaced......... especially if it's an early tritium dial.....
You never have to agree with this..

Where as I have the paler-blue face "Z" serial and if I can I'm going to get it replaced with the deeper cobalt blue.

I wouldn't change mine, mostly because I'd be giving up my Tiffany co-branding!

Plus I got to save around $350 the cost of the dial and Hands.
Service cost is $750 including a new winding crown. |

I would keep it the way it is! You can always change it out down the road.
