Marvin 18k Gold 70's, how much its worth??

This is my Dad's Marvin from the 70's, 18 k Gold
He got it as a gift
I don't want to sell it, just wanna know how much its worth
Anybody knows?

It's worth its weight minus the movement in gold.
Not a sought after or collected brand.

If you found someone willing to give you a couple hundred
dollars over melt value Id be shocked.

Wow , but I thought from the box and the design that it could be more, so we are saying nearly $ 3000 ?????

Doubt it weighs that much. I buy lots of gold watches across my counter, and melt 98% of them. The band is more than likely plated. That will make a BIG difference. Find out about the band, and I can give you a pretty close estimate.
