So I was half listening and I thought she skipped something. Surprised they didn't say anything!

She stunk on ice. If they want somebody who actually can sing it live, they shoulda used Martina McBride.

Nice call, Tim !

Haha it is quite common these days for guest singers to do some way out renditions of national anthems

I was paying attention to her singing, vs the words, and thought "Dallas, we have a problem."
Learn the words dumb ***. They're kind of important.
The limited volume and length of the applause at the end spoke volumes.

the super-slow renditions of the Star Spangled Banner annoy me, so as I watched it live I immediately didn't like it. I then shouted in disbelief when she blew the line. So terrible!

RANT ON:

Personally, I'm getting tired of every 'artist' putting their own spin on it. The ever present 'Yodeling' to drag it out and add 'feeling'. If I was in charge I'd tell the 'artist' to just sing it like they learned in grade school and leave all those extra syllables out of it.
They need to humble up.

RANT OFF.

I'd rather hear the National Anthem rendered by any high school band in the country than to hear it mutilated by one of those talentless, over-paid celebrities any day.

Is there no shame?

+1!!! TRF is my haven from a rapidly changing society which worships "singers" like CA......

The NFL might consider these kids next year - they know the lyrics, and probably work for a lot less money than CA...

Sorry, all these initials for the vocalist don't mean anything. Who is she really?

I don't know who she is, but why was she invited to sing? She is obviously in pain doing it and it is also painful for the audience. Who are the made up tough looking men?
