are authorized dealers required to pay restocking fee?

if perhaps a customer was to put a deposit on a watch and change his mind the dealer would most likely charge a restocking fee on the item my question is would the dealer be required to pay a restocking fee to their supplier if a watch is ordered and the client perhaps choses a different model or decides to cancel his order or never sbows up. that's if the dealercan return the watch to their supplier. ???????

I thought restocking fee are only for watches bought and returned. If you put a deposit and have not picked up the watch yet, I think they should give back the deposit.

As for dealers to pay restocking fee, I'm not sure. There are some members that are ADs here I believe. They can give you a better insight.

I doubt the dealer can give a new watch back to Rolex. I think once they order something, and it arrives, they have to buy it out right from Rolex and then sell it to the customer. If the customer backs out, they have to keep it on display.

If you are asking about when the watch is order, but has not been delivered to the dealer, I assume, the dealer can just back out.

What kind of item, a cancelled YM/Sub/GMT etc, no problem, if you no longer want the Leopard Daytona you ordered, I am sure even Rolex don't want those back

The Leopard Daytona is one nasty looking animal.

You don't order the Leopard...
You inquire about any current Leopards in gestation.

S7horton is absolutely correct Rolex will not let an AD return a watch.

Also if an AD orders a watch 8 out of 10 times they will not be able to cancel the order.
