Dan, yours is a very interesting type of collection. What possessed you to start collecting barber chairs?

I think that's the "Agatha Christie". One of the special editions.

I collect signed mountaineering books. Here is a first edition of The Ascent of Everest, the official account of the first climb, signed by Sir Edmund Hillary.
I also have quite a few hockey pucks signed by Hall of Fame players. |

You nailed it! Thanks!
I never saw it. Guess I must've missed its release.

Yep, the Agatha Christie......I picked up the Hemingway and Agatha Christie (1st and 2nd), along with the Medici and Octavian (1st and 2nd as well)......I usually got bored by the time #3 came along.... Problem with me is that I actually like to use them!

I love the Cervantes one and have yet to pick it up. I've owned 6 Montblanc pens and am down to 3. I sadly lost their anniversary Mesiterstruck. But made up for it by getting a nice platinum and diamond meisterstruck roller ball.

My sword collection includes originals from the civil war and feudal Japan and excellent, accurate reproductions from Imperial Rome and the Middle Ages. My gun collection is all modern and military. Enough said here for obvious reasons. I suspect we are both ready for the Zombie Invasion as well as the Revolution eh? I plan to be in the UK at the end of the month. A couple of my favorite sword spots to visit...The British Museum, The Royal Armories at Leeds and at the Tower as well as The Wallace Collection. |

I guess it's a love of precision engineering. A tool, but one built to be better than it needs to be.
To the uneducated eye a watch is a watch, a gun is a gun. To an aficionado one is a $100 beater, another is a $100,000 work of art. I shall say no more to keep your thread safe!

Worthless without pictures!
I used to collect coins when I was a kid, until the guy who got me into it was gunned down in his own coin shop. After that, whenever I would think about coins I would think about him, so the whole thing was kind of a turn off. If I had the money, I would start collecting pennies again. For some reason, I have always been enamoured with Lincoln pennies. Like trying to put together a "BU" collection (although I've heard that the grading system has gotten a little more specific of late). :-)

That would compliment my Sir Ed autographed ticket stub...
