Just got my first (YAY)

So I finally got it - I rolex. I have had it for a while but could not wear it as I needed 2 extra links. I purchased pre owned and had paperwork for authenticity, but it was not signed so did not know 100% if I had a fake or not.

Today, I took it to watches of Switzerland (got them to get the links) and went on a day when they had a guy who used to work for rolex was in the office. Opened her up and confirmed 100% it was a rolex.

I do feel a bit like when I lost my actual cherry for the first time. Walking around all day saying to myself, I own a rolex, I have a rolex, I've always wanted it, and now I have it. (same as a teen loosing the big C lol) But strangely also the same kind of anticlimax.

I had built it up so much in my mind. I am very happy though.

I can't say that either was an anti climax for me...

Enjoy your watch!

I am not comparing to the actual act of buying and erm .. doing, I am comparing to the thoughts and feelings afterward - I guess all I am saying is that it doesn't feel as good as I thought it would.

I'm rambling now, someone tell me to shut up and give myself a slap

Can't give you a slap from here but a better worded thread title might have been nice.

Get it on each morning and though it was anti-climactic, it'll still be highly rewarding and pleasurable.

Oh, and wear the rolex too.

Congrats!-just don't let it go to your head!(my head has grown two hat sizes since I got mine-two weeks ago today). This forum helps to keep things in perspective, though.
