gold Daytona 16518 help?
Hi
I already have a SS Zenith Daytona but want a gold watch and am considering a gold Daytona with zenith movement 16518. I've only seen pics at the net and wanted your opinions gents. Why is the premium vs the SS model so low. This valuation differential is also enticing me. How collectible is this watch? If I wanted a gold watch should I look elsewhere? My other option is a gold GMT Master II which comes with a gold bracelet too. I'm just worried the Au bracelet might seem too loud. The Daytona seems more understated with the leather strap. I've never had a gold watch. The only one I own is a white gold nautilus 5712G. Thanks! |

I too have a 18Kt Daytona (Zenith) on my short list. Right now the Zenith models seem to have a lot of up side. Most places you can buy the gold for about the same price as a SS model if you are willing to go with the strap model.

I have WG Daytona with leather strap and it's very understated. You need to see them at an AD and try them.

I am also looking to buy a YG Daytona on a strap. I see that you (and a lot of people) prefer the older model 16518 over the new 116518. Can you tell me why? |
