When do you take your watch off?

I've heard that some people wear their watches to bed while others wear their watches in the shower while some wear their Rolexes gardening or fixing their car.

Me? I take mine off every night and wipe it down clean. I never-ever wear it in the shower. Something about soap-scum on a Daytona just isn't cool...

So, my question is; when do you take your Rolex(s) off?

My current collection of Rolexes consists of three: Rolex sub, GMT Master 11 and a Daytona.

I take my sub off before I get into bed, and put it on after I've showered in the morning, as I leave my bedroom.

I also remove it if I shower during the day, to wash the car, do home repairs/painting or do yardwork. During most any other activity, I keep it on.

Sometimes before bed, usually before doing something like reaching way into an engine compartment or similar....no other times I can think of.

The safest place for your watch is on your wrist.

Only time I take it off is most of the time but not always before getting in the shower.

I wear my sub 24/7 shower, sleep, weight training, intense cardio sessions, everywhere and in every situation. I bought it to wear it not sit at home. Although If I had a daytona maybe I would be a little bit more careful with what I do with it.

The only time I take it off is when I'm running. It's a bit too bulky for long durations of sweaty running. Otherwise, it's ALWAYS on my wrist (including long-distance swimming, cycling, yard work, etc.).

I take it off before bed and when going in the shower. Some days, when I'm particularly exhausted, I'll take it off when I get home from work, but usually not.

That baby stays on my rest except for when i sleep.

Something about sleeping with it makes me uneasy.
Thats why I have a big digital am/fm on the nightstand

Before bed, it goes back in the box, except on vacation when it's on 24/7. If I am doing any labor intensive work or working out, I remove it. If I wash the car, it's off. I am more worried about scratching the car here...

When I got my first Sub it didn't leave my wrist once for months.

Now I generally only take my watch off to put on a different one, unless it has a leather strap.

I take it off at night & then put it back on (if it's getting chosen that day) in the morning after showering. I do however wear it to play tennis, swim in the sea & do other chores. In the beginning though there was a lot of initial babying!

P.S I have a ss sub which I guess is one of the more robust models.

I wear mine ALL THE TIME. Sleeping, working, swimming running etc... However I do not when cycling. I fell off last year (hit by a motorbike actually) broke my arm in 2 places and scuffed my old Tissot beater in the process.

I am not risking that with my Rolex as I have a habit of falling off.

Off for a 4 hour ride tomorrow and wearing the beater.
