GMT IIC Mod idea

I personally prefer the look of the red accents on the GMT II pre-ceramic. Has anyone tried to take the dial and (red) hands from a GMT II and put them into a GMT IIc?

im sure you will be able to... but what are you going to do with the green text?

is it the GMTIIC Christmas Special Edition?

No, I mentioned taking the old DIAL (with red writing) and red HAND(s) and putting it into the GMT IIc.

So it would basically be a ceramic GMT, with a red hand and red writing! I think that would look incredible.

As long as you use 3186 dial and hands I think you'll be okay.

I was kind of hoping someone else has already done it, so I can take a look at what it would look like :)

Anyone know how much or how hard it would be to get a 3186 dial and hands?

esm, that's a good question but I think I would prefer the red bits over the maxi since I think the GMT II is already gorgeous (pre C). I'd have to see them side by side though.

MUCH better. I have a 16750 and a 116710... and while I like the Ceramic, frankley, I HATE the green on it! I wish a red option existed!

I have seen photshopped pepsi/coke inserts, but am not feeling them the same way, possibly due to the newer style font, but this photoshop is all me!

Unfortunately I totally agree. I could never buy the green version (still a beautiful watch just not my cup of tea). If it were only red, or orange or yellow even.

The red photoshop looks great btw, thanks!!

As I noted about hating the green, the ALL green dial on the solid gold version is cool, but not the lettering on the SS version, IMO.
