Looks like a 1991 1/2 manufacture date, as you posted earlier.

No issues.. The X means it was made around '93, (X, C, N, and S all seem to have hit in the same time-frame. I just picked the latest) so it matches the bracelet (~94), and means that your watch was probably on the market in '95

since the TT models lag the Stainles by a couple of years..

Much newer than the Dealer told you, but all parts match..

Take a deep breath and enjoy your watch........

The three serial number lists and the one I posted above all said 1991, just like the dealer said. Nice looking watch.

Charts....... all charts, are guesses (and most are just copied around) and they reflect when a serial prefix was first seen on the market... It is physically impossible for all X serials to have been made and sold on the same date, and gold and TT models always lag the Stainless models which charts are based on...

Therefore, an X serial was NOT made exactly at 1991 1/2.. (especially a TT) They were first seen then, and continued for the next 2 to 4 years... So, I will safely still say that this watch was likely made in ~1993, and the 1994 bracelet code verifies this conclusion..

I will stick with my researched and educated guess of this watch being marketed in ~1995...

My only concern is the dial, it just looks...odd. But this could be from the photo enhancement...

Thank you, one and all. Larry, you saved me an ambient tonight. And possibly an embarrassing encounter at our "been there forever" jeweler. Thank you, thank you , thank you. Would anyone here suggest I water test it, or bring it back to the dealer for that task? Donna

Congrats on a great looking watch, Donna. I was intrigued with the comments about the dial, too - I thought the "jubilee" styled dial (with the sort of embossed looking "rolex" pattern) was only available with diamond markers.

Does anyone know for sure? It makes me wonder if you might have some kind of custom dial.

Hi, Donna. Actually the "water test" is done without water. Take it to a professional--don't know if your dealer has the necessary equipment for this or not. Don't try this at home!

Everything is OK here..

Caseback and dial put it in the tritiuim era (before 1998)

On the bracelet the part number is good.. 18 means 18k gold and the S10 clasp code is, roughly, October 1994

So, you should be looking for a serial number that begins with S or W and is followed by 6 digits.

@ Lisa....when viewed with naked eye, it appears to be a pearl colored, slightly textured face. Only when zoomed is there the appearance of a "pattern" I am going to zoom in on another watch (non-Rolex) to see if there is a pattern that I cannot see without a zoom lens. Even with my reading glasses on, I cannot see the pattern as it appeared on the first photo I posted.

This is Jodie's 2005 ladies DJ. It is 100% original and was purchased from my local Rolex dealer. The cyclops magnification on the ladies sizes isn't that great from the factory. Probably due to the small size of the watch.
