I thought I'd never wear anything other than my beloved Submariner, but I recently traded my LV Sub (plus) for a FF of my own. I always thought it out of reach and not likely, but when I got my shot, I took it and am loving every minute wearing it!

Here are two iPhone pics on the plane flying from John Wayne Airport in SoCal to Portland this afternoon. First pic with flash and then without.

The more I see of the Blancpain, the more I am appreciating it.

They just didn't "do it" for me anymore. Anyway, I've long wanted a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms and put my name down for the Anniversary model a few years ago but didn't get one. I never pulled the trigger on one as I thought them just a little too pricey and a little too large. Having had a Panerai for some months I became used to the size coupled with the soaring Rolex price rises I decided to pull the trigger. Just to cap it off though I stuck it on an Isofrane strap.
Congrats on that beautiful BlaincpaiN Fifty !

I'm feeling another 50F for some reason?

Its a real shame the bracelet doesn't offer quick/micro adjustment.

Can't blame ya for ditching Rolex. When you (not you personally) actually see what's out there and aren't blinded by brand loyalty, there are so many FANTASTIC watch mfgers at great prices. That FF is really growing one me as well, nice pickup.

Stunning watch, I like FF and th previous model.
I think Nathan (OP) flipped his in the end. Poor customer service and timekeeping were the reasons IIRC. But we all know he is a watch tart

Great watch! I have to say, I think I would take the FF over any of the 'modern' Rolex divers.

I love that Bezel design.

I am beginning to share your feelings about Rolex. My Sub was my first "high end" watch and I will always hold it dear to my heart. Having said that, I am just tired of seeing Rolex on the wrist of vitually everyone I come across. I know that's an overexageration, but it just feels too common any more for me. I was fortunate to purchase a PP recently and that has become my daily wear and my most loved piece. But I still pull the Rollie out from time to time!.......

Haha. Are you thinking Mont Blanc? Who also makes watches.... Blancpain just happens to be one of the top watch brands.
