Time setting on 49 backwards?????
Can someone confirm or deny this?
When setting the time on a 49, you pull the crown to the 3rd position. Which way do you turn the crown to advance the time? My 111,210,190 all set the time forward by turning the crown clockwise? The 49 I have seems to be the opposite. To move the time forward I have to turn the crown anti-clockwise. Am I making sense? If not, here is a you tube video. skip to 1 min in the date gets set just like every other watch I have...forward or clockwise. the time gets set backwards from ever other watch I have...backwards or anti-clockwise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKFiaW-kn2A

Makes sense. Is it possible it is attributed to the movement being used on this watch?

I had a IWC that did that, is was just how the movement was made, probably the same base ETA.

Thanks a ton guys. I also PM'ed Dr. Robert who has a 49. He said that is the way it is!
This place is great. I posted on two dedicated Panerai forums and here on TRF. This is the only one that got a reply! Hopefully I'll have some time to get pics up by tomorrow. My 4th one. Well, really only three for me as this ones for the wife. I can't believe how small this 40mm watch looks on my wrist.
