What is the most you would pay your dream Rolex?

Shut me down if this has been asked previously, but can find no such thread.

What is max you would pay for your dream Rolex, and what model is it? We have many experienced people on this forum; some have paid serious money for their models. Others seem to have a broad collection, for which they may not have paid a tremendous amount for any particular model. And others are like me, with one model only purchased under $10K. The value is all relative to the eye of the beholder, of course.

Would be interesting to see what the bell curve of responses is in the forum. I am sure some would budget over $50K-$75K or more.

For me, probably $15K for a classic Daytona panda (not that I can get it for that-- but that's exactly what I am asking--what model and how much).

Thoughts?

I would never spend more than 10K on a watch.

Currently none of my watches cost me more that 6K I like to stay in the 5k range but for a dream watch I would fork over 10K...which probably means I'll never own a dream watch.

I paid 12K for my 116520 Daytona and that's as high as I would go.

I don't have a Rolex yet. My dream watch is a 16610 Rolex Submariner. I'd like to stay under $5,000 for it. I've seen a bunch of 16610 under 4.5K on TRF!

10k is my limit. That's why I got my DSSD. I would love to get a YII yellow gold but i don't see that in my near future.

I'd pay $35,000 today. I'm hoping for a Groupon on the model.

I agree. I got mine when it was $9250 though. Rolex's are really getting stupid expensive. But then again if you love something you love something. I have too many hobbies that are wayyyy to expensive to spend $25k on a watch. Then again the $25k watch might still be worth something in 30 years.

I would spend about 10k at the most for my dream watch, I would love a 18038 or a 18238 they are not as expensive as the 118238.

KIDDING

I dont really have a price in mind but it is whatever my current circumstances would allow. Today for my dream watch, no more than 10-15k...tomorrow maybe 20k and the next day maybe nothing... Who knows

No matter how wealthy I became, I would never spend more than 10-15K on a Rolex. It's my favorite brand and I love them, but for me they make great everyday watches. Once you get passed 15K, there are superior watches to be had IMO.

I paid MSRP ($11250) for my grail, an SS Daytona. Anything that follows from now on will be less than that..hopefully.

At this point, I couldn't see paying more than 8k for a watch. I've got other priorities as I support a family of five. And any watch I buy would be paid for in cash.

I've spent SGP $9800 on my DJ II. Don't think I'm willing to spend anymore than that.

Currently.....my top $ would be MSRP for a new TT Sub or GMT. But, would hope to get a discount to somewhere less than $11K.

My dream watch would be a Masterpiece with Diamond bezel/dial and bracelet. It retails around about £190,000.00

Obviously that is stupid money... I would buy it if I have the cash...

My "reasonable" dream watch would be a WG daytona with diamond hour markers.. I think its about £18,000.00
