Daytona going home...

Some of you may remember that I purchased my SS Daytona from a Maui AD. It was during a celebatory trip for both my engagement to my wife and her birthday. I have had the daytona for about 2 yrs and it was always running at 6 seconds slow. I never thought about sending it back to the AD bec to be honest, I just didnt want to part with it. A week ago, some of my friends were taking a trip to Maui and I have decided that its time to get it regulated. The AD told me that it might take 6 weeks and they will ship it back to me as soon as they get it back... 6 weeks is going to be a long time without my baby... sigh~

These are the times when a spare Rolex would come in real handy. Either that or opt to get the regulation done closer to home.

If you're in IL, why send it to Hawaii? Find a place closer to home that works on Rolex.

You want to get it in while the warranty is still in effect. Subsequent service warranties are two years. My ancient Daytona keeps perfect time within a second or two every day. It is the mongrel Zenith movement though. Nice timepiece though. I still can't believe it keeps such perfect time. It ticks away in tune with my Mac laptop like they were communicating.
