It is really a function of how much cash I have at the time. Right now that upper bound is about 6k. I know, small potatoes.

I don't dream about watches, so I don't have a dream Rolex.

That's one heck of a coupon. Can you please tell me where I could get a coupon too?
By the way does that work on a Platinum DDII or the Leopard Daytona. I just might want to get the Leopard and hang with Steven Tyler.

Fire the " L a s e r "!
I have zero interest in any of the current lineup other than the one I own so no worries about MRRP... As far as vintage is concerned... The sky's the limit! I can't afford to dabble at the moment but I know my true Grail will cost a shedload of cash. In an ideal world I'd have enough disposable income to have all the toys I want but, in reality, I'd be happier spending $100K on a MilSub and driving my 3yo Ute than spending the money on a car just to see it become next to worthless in a few years.

All a matter of what you have and what's out there..
There's currently nothing out there that's pulling at me.
I guess I can say that I'm pretty happy with my current collection. I 've never really put a 'limit' on what I would spend but I've definately become more rational in the past couple of years (if that's possible). |

Hmm, I don´t know.
Probably around 10k for a Rolex. I´m willing to spend more on a watch, but over 10k, it would probably another brand like AP, VC or PP. |

I started at 5K after college then as I got older and progressed in my career the amount kept going up. My current ceiling was 10K until I bought the SS Daytona. Now I want a YG GMTc or the new Rosegold/SS YMII and that is pushing around 25K.
More than 25K I will start moving up to a PP Nautilus.

If I want it bad enough, I'll pay what it takes to get it if I can afford it.

Money is such a relative thing. I never dreamed I would spend 5 grand on a watch a few years ago... and now I am up to about 8,000 as the highest I have ever spent. I buy/sell/trade all the time. Right now my dream watch is a YG Sub or YM... and I would love to find a nice one for around ten grand... but I just might be dreaming! Haha... great post!

Most realistically it would be 10k, but if I had enough to spend, I would really love to buy a Minute Repeater paying full price. So I would say, unrealistically, around 300k.

Well, I'm happy to say that I just purchased my dream watch. The new Sub-C. $8000, seems high enough to me. However I am also going to buy a Breitling For Bentley next year. So who knows.

The most I would spend is $10,000 and that would be for a Daytona.

I had a 17k (GBP) AP ROO - felt too much for one watch so I swapped it for two Rolex which get a lot of wrist time, I would love a pltinum day date (40k GBP) but this ain't gonna happen unless I win the lottery or my financial circumstances change. That is a lot to tie up in a watch when it will spend most of its time in the safe like the ROO did.

My dream Rolex would be (today) a President. I could not justify spending more than about $10K on any watch so that's not going to happen, but that's OK because there are lots of other Rolex I like for less than that price which would make me just as happy.
