I'm in Essex and got mine at Mappin & Webb in the City last August. I waited 3 months and that was when they first came to the U.K, (£4690, price rises eh?).
Seen them in WoS windows around the City and west End recently. WoS Royal exchange opposite bank Of England had one in their window last week!. Goldsmiths in Lakeside said a few weeks when I chatted to someone in there a while ago. So a year is way off the mark. You'll pick one up soon though, just tour the A.D's. best of luck. |

A year wait? Is the Sub C the new Daytona? Could be an intentional plan to bring its price up to $10K US.

Goldsmiths in Newcastle both branches had submariner ceramic and the one of them had the LN and the LV in amongst a great selection of most models, probably biggest selection i've seen for awhile. This was on Sunday gone.

Sub-C is pretty easy to find here in big dealers, I always see them everytime I walked in an AD. Some of the AD would even happily offer you some discount.
But I have read from quite a number of UK posters that they were in the waiting list for a sub or gmt that I thought was funny, like you were in the waiting list for a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label :) |

Passed 10 AD's today, 2 in the city(WoS, royal exchange), 4 on oxford st and 4 on bond st. Not one SubC in sight.
I asked in Selfridges, they said they had none. They had a SubC LV and a ND. Also asked in Mappin Webb, bottom of Bond St. They said they had 3 people on their waiting list and it was a popular watch. I should try an independent out of town. |

TBH, I saw SubC in a few places in ADs.
I think you should just email the stores. I am sure there is one around. Remember big high street stores and move the watch around anyway! |

Like I said in an earlier post... WOS, Brompton Road. Can get them transferred from other stores, or order direct from Rolex. 2 week wait on either method...

Great Deal even at full MRSP
After years of contemplation I finally purchased a black ss sub c from Robinson's AD in Altrincham. No discount available, 1 month wait, excellent helpful staff. The major bonus as far as I was concerned was the reassurance of an AD and the payment plan of 20% deposit with remainder on 4 year interest free credit - an offer I felt was too good to miss and stress free

Hello everyone - another very new user here! I picked up my first Rolex, a lovely SS Sub C, a month or so ago in London and I'll attest to the OP's struggles in finding a new one. The good people at Selfridges will tell you - accurately, as it turns out - that their allocation will be sold out within three days of delivery. I was lucky with one of the Bond Street stores the weekend after London's June delivery, but they are rather thin on the ground. Best of luck to the OP in tracking one down - when you do, you won't regret it. Mine is a thing of rare beauty!

You could probably fly to the US for a face-to-face deal for less then the cost of VAT & Duty.
I just read that another poster reports seeing SubCs in the Duty Free at LHR, so you could even buy it there. Last edited by rabbithole88; 28 July 2011 at 06:35 AM.. Reason: Read another post that aded information |

Loads of SUBs available everywhere I look, if you can't find one in the UK then just pop over the channel, loads of them available on this side.
I got some waiting list BS when I bought mine, I just went hundred meters to the next AD and walked out with my sub.

Hi Lumens
Good choice. Try Goldsmiths at Lakeside, Russel has been very helpfull. I was told the same story about Milgauss GV but managed to get one in a few days. Its going to be hard to get a discount though. Good luck. |

Hi Lumens,
I had a similar problem. I purchased from Ernest Jones (in May) and was told 3 months wait. I eventually got the watch 8 weeks from ordering. I also went down the signet card route, purchased a couple of shares.. £50quid and then when the watch came in, showed them the card and hey presto £500 off. So I would certainly recommend doing it. I does take about 3 -4 weeks for the signet card to arrive. BTW - I did see a Sub-C LV in Ernest Jones Westfield yesterday. This is the first Sub-C I have seen in their window in 6 months and I have been checking pretty much every day (sad I know ). Now I am not sure if this is a sign that there is a decrease in demand or if they just happen to have one in. |
