New Rolex 16610 Submariner.
Hello,
After exercising and showering this morning I went to put on my 16610 Sub. To my surprise it had stopped. However, I wore it yesterday afternoon. The time it showed when stopped or when the power ran out was 11 pm on the 27th of August. It had only been off my wrist for 7-8 hours.... What gives? Thanks in advance. |

Mightn't have been fully wound.
Is it working now?

How long did you wear it for prior to this morning? You might have to give it a wind of about 40 turns and give it a second shot!

-Few days ago, probably closer to a week. -Just did and it works now, but not sure how long the reserve will last. -Does the reserve always stay at 40 hours through the lifetime of the watch or will it downgrade like that of a laptop?? Thanks for all the feedback! I appreciate it! |

hindsight, I probably should have titled the thread "Submariner Winding Issue; need a tissue."

I would do a power reserve check... Wind the watch completely (40-50) full turns of the crown, set the time to a reliable source (time.gov) and lay it down. Notate the time you did this and then again the time it stops... Should be 40+ hours and if not as mentioned, there is an issue. I personally would do this for peace of mind

Why not wear it when you excercise and shower - problem fixed.
