Kitchen aid ice maker

Why won't it work, there's ice in the ice maker but it won't come out ? Does anyone have any suggestions. And prior to it not working the ice was a bit cloudy. I have a top of the line R.O. System hooked up to my fridge and the ice has always been crystal clear, and I change the filters every 2 years on the R.O. Any suggestions. Fridge is 5 years old, French doors, frezer is on the bottom.
Thanks
Mark

Is there a button you can press to reset your ice maker?Mine does, you must look real hard or look at your owner's manual.Oh,and I stayed at a Holiday express last night!

This is a stupid question, but did you check that the mechanism that pushes the ice cubes forward (no clue how that thing is called, but it normally looks like a cork screw) is not clogged with ice?

I have a Samsung, but I have a reset button on the front of the ice maker itself, like Figbo says. It dumps out the ice and refills the trays.

The "Corkscrew thingy" can be frozen/stuck.

Try to manually turn it.

RepairClinic.com has troubleshooting guides, chat, parts, etc. I kept a complete household of appliances working for fifteen years with their help.

You may have to remove the ice bind, dump the ice and thaw out the bottom. The look in the door at the ice dispenser and remove the ice build up and then dry it. When the ice bind is thawed and dried put it back in place.

For the most part residential ice machines are junk.

Well, does it work when you hit the dispenser?

I don't know what you mean by dispenser, its located in the freezer, cause it's a french door fridge by kitchen aid, bottom is the freezer. But after a cleaning and looking it over it's spiting out ice like its in Alaska !
Thanks everyone
Mark

Sorry that your ice machine is not working but I am more concerned about you drinking RO water?
